Sydney Beatriders (sBr)

First of all, happy birthday to Njay

Today a few people from sBr met up at RICE Fest 2008, which was being held at the Olympic Park. It was pretty fun. We got there at around 12. There were alot of people there. The whole event was held in some big grassy area that was surrounded by gates. It was a pretty fun day overall. There was face painting, food eating contests, arm wrestling contests, tug-o-war, tube tackling challenges, jumping castles, free sausages, people singing and performing, and other cool stuff. We also made a cwalk video under some torch thing, away from the crowd.

Some of the organizers came up to us asking if we wanted to perform, and we said “okeh buddeh”. We had to leave later on though, and didn’t get to perform. We were all pretty nervous though, so I guess we were all relieved to leave, rofl. And then some of the organizers brought the camera and tried to interview us, and tried to get us to talk, but we didn’t say much, lol.

Other than that, I think that’s about it. There was also some guy who gave some good speeches that really made me think about things. It was a great event and we’re looking forward to the next event; RICE Rally at City, next saturday.

After we left, we decided to go to the city. Just ate, looked at a few shops, walked around and did random stuff. Then we went capitol to take photos, lol. Umm yeah, I think that’s it. And then we took the train home and some people *cough* kept farting on the train LOL.

Today we had a random meetup with just a few members. About 6 of us met up at Burwood randomly. Just walked around Westfield and looked at shoes at Footlocker. After that, we made our way to the park at Burwood and made a few videos there.

Then we went back to Westfield again. Wasn’t much to do there because it was closing down, so we just went back to the park. While we were there, some asian guy came up to us and talked about life, jesus, etc. It was interesting and funny at the same time. Not funny in a bad way though. You can watch some of the things we talked about in the “sBr Pinoy 3 way” video down below.

Afterwards, we just made a few more videos and then some guy comes up to us asking for a battle I think. He was with a few friends shuffling in the toilet, lol. It was funny because, when we went up to them to check, they actually were shuffling in the toilets with speakers, etc. LOL. A few minutes later, staff comes and locks up the toilet. AHAHAH. Someone probably reported them.

Anyways, soon after, a group of people walked past us. They sat down nearby, and somehow we walked up to them and had a bit of a talk and found out they were b2 (shuffle crew). It was nice to meet them. They all seem really nice. After talking for a while, we eventually got around to making a video with b2, and then left to go home afterwards.

Today was really fun to say the least. Hopefully there’lll be another meetup at Burwood. Who knows, maybe we’ll have an official meetup and get everyone to come here. It doesn’t seem to be a boring place, lol, so who knows..

Today sBr and NWZ had a meetup at Liverpool. We stood around for awhile, but we eventually got to make a video near the bus stop. The video we made together is probably the biggest cwalk video in Australia thus far. There were about 25 people in the video, that cwalked one after another. Not all of sBr was able to come though. If more of us came, the video probably would’ve had about 30+ people in it.

After making the video, we walked to EPI and played Counter Strike, lol. It was pretty fun I guess.Then we went to Westfield. Didn’t do much there, just ate at the bottom food court. After that, we all pretty much just went home.

Today we had a big meetup again. It’s been a while since our last big meetup at the city, and I guess we wanted to make a meetup for all the members located around the Liverpool area. About 20+ people came and it was a fun meetup. We made videos outside Liverpool Westfield, at the car park (outside of Kids World arcade). After that, we went to EPI to just hang out for a bit and play some games.

After we were finished at EPI, we walked back to the station to go home, and while waiting for the train, we decided to make a few videos at the station, one of which was a 2 way female cwalk with Kez (Klumzee) and Tessie (Lil Ribbonz).

For the Queens birthday public holiday, we decided to meet up at the city as we usually do for big meetups. Alot of people came. Around 40+ which includes sBr, NWZ, and guests. Most of the day was spent at the arcade on level 5 of Market City. For the rest of the day, we made cwalk videos outside of UTS, outside Market City (just around the corner from McDonalds), and at the park near Central station.

Today we got to make our biggest cwalk video so far. A 19 way cwalk video, which we made outside Market City. Our previous biggest cwalk video was an 18 way, so I guess our 19 way is thanks to NWZ member, Kamikaze.

Back to Market City

After making videos, we all decided to go back to the arcade in Market City. Stayed there for a while until we ended up going out to go to Capitol. We didn’t take any pictures, just walked around. After Capitol, we made our way to the park near Central station. There we made a few cwalk videos, then half of us went home, and the rest stayed at the city. And that’s pretty much it.

It was a pretty fun day.

Today, we had a bit of a random day at Parramatta. A few of us met up at Westfield, just sat in the ground level food court and didn’t really do much. It was raining at the time aswell. Anyways, after that, we decided to go outside across the road from Hungry Jacks near the station, and we ended up making a cwalk video there.

And yep, after that, we just spent the rest of the day at Hungry Jacks and then went home.

On May 31, we had a meetup at Liverpool. Most of the day was spent at EPI (either playing MT3 or Tekken 6, lol), and making cwalk videos outside of EPI, around Liverpool, and even in Liverpool westfield, lol. Made a few random videos doing random stuff in Toys R Us at Liverpool Westfield.

Yep, that’s basically it. The day was alot of fun!

Today we had a pretty big meetup at Parramatta. Most likely one of the biggest meetups for the year. Most of us were at Parramatta station by around 11-12. The meetup was mainly organized so we could meet Lynelle (Entertainment manager of the Easter Show). At around 12, we all just went inside Westfield and hanged around Easy Way on level 2, while waiting for a few more members to arrive. After that, we went to the new meetup spot located outside of the station, near the bus stops.

We originally discussed with Lynelle that we were going to meet at 1am, and it was 1am, so we decided to give her a call on her mobile. She told us she was already at Parramatta, just downstairs from the cinemas, so yeah.. we just called Kez to come with us, and she brought AJ along too. We then went up the escalator and finally got to meet Lynelle. After talking about a few things for a while, she wanted to see the rest of the crew (majority were still waiting outside at the meetup spot), so we all just went down the escalator and walked to the meetup spot with her.

At the meetup spot, she got to see most of the sBr members and we just basically talked about our performance at the easter show next year. She went into more detail about what we were going to do, etc. and told us we would be getting free tickets, food, and other stuff. After talking, she got a few of us to perform for her and show her a bit of what we do; cwalk, shuffle, dance. A few of us cwalked, a few shuffled soon after, and Jasper did the dancing. Anyways, afterwards, she just talked a little more and then said our thankyou’s and goodbye’s. It was really nice to meet Lynelle.

After Lynelle left, we just basically made a few cwalk videos, hanged around for a bit, and then finally went back to Westfield.

Back to Westfield

At Westfield, we just ate and stayed at the lvl 3 McDonalds for a while, after which we ended up going back to the station to walk to the old meetup spot.

We haven’t been to the old meetup spot in so long, so it was nice to go there again. It’s that place across the road from the station (hungry jacks side), for those that don’t know. We stayed there for some time and just made random cwalk and shuffle videos, and just took the time to hang out for a while. Some other people also came along and decided to watch.

Blacktown

After all of those random videos we made at the old meetup spot, a little over half of us decided to go to Blacktown. We didn’t really do much there I guess, we just mainly stayed at Playtime (arcade in Blacktown) and just played MT3, Tekken, and other games. It was pretty fun I guess. After that, we made a few videos outside of Playtime, and then the rest of us finally went home, lol.

There was a strike today for public schools, so a few members were able to come to Parramatta for a meetup. We just walked around Westfield, checked a few clothing stores, and made a few vids in front of the Footlocker store on level 1. After that, we went to the food court on level 5 to eat. Then I guess we just went to Easy Way on level 2 and just hanged around there for a while, lol.

And finally, after that, we made our way to the station to go to Blacktown. We also made a few random videos on the station platform, lol. Anyways, when we got to Blacktown we just basically went to Playtime (arcade in Westpoint), like we always do when we go to Blacktown. Just played MT3, Tekken, Time Crisis, and other games. After that, we went to the bottom food court in Westpoint and ate, and I guess we also made a few random vids (including Mark cwalking on pizza boxes, lol).  You’ll get what I mean when you watch the videos below.

Anyways, yeah. That’s all we did for today. After we ate at the food court, it was already getting kind of late, so we just made a few vids outside of Westpoint and went home afterwards.
