Digital Stills Cameras Are No More?
Since I got my iPhone from freebiejeebies for free, I marvel at the amount of technology that can be crammed into such a small device. According to Moore’s Law, technology will continue to get smaller and smaller, packing double the power into the same or less space every year. This it seems, will be the death of your average digital stills camera.
Digital stills cameras, when they were first made available to the consumer market, were very bulky, were only able to store a few photos and drained batteries like there’s no tomorrow. Since then, digital cameras have become far more advanced and much much smaller. Digital cameras have since become a standard feature in mobile phones, one that started out as a gimmick, taking pictures that were extremely low quality but as with all things technology, it got power powerful.
The iPhone 4 now has a 5 mega pixel camera, which is far more than any average user would ever need.
