Carlos Esteban’s work in the company has given him a huge success. He became manager just after 3 years in his department under the Steel Corporation. He really worked hard and doesn’t want to be discharged again. Mary was still studying in the university and taking up medicines. A course that is expensive for the couple. But because of Carlos present high salary, it is not anymore a problem. Mary is smart and really wanted medicine so she can help the poor. Unfortunately, she was just in first year when her Dad got a car accident. A fatal one that made him disabled. His head had bumped to a hard pavement and has internal haemorrhage in the brain. The operation was a failure and he became a pathetic invalid. They have tried their best to make him normal again but the more treatment and medicine given the worst he became. And he finally passed out for eternity. He died without any unemployment benefits and social security. He was leaving his wife and daughter with no pension to receive and the worst was a big debt to pay. He only got insurance for his treatment but it didn’t last long. Mary was forced to stop studying and work to earn a living. Her mom got a nervous breakdown and never recovers. Moreover, his death worsens her condition to eventual death.
